Troop 834's sponsoring organization is Our Lady of Grace Parish in Scott Township, PA.

The Troop's regular weekly meetings are held every Thursday evening from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at Our Lady of Grace School. 

Troop 834 was originally chartered in 1965 and had fifty-five Scouts on it's roster that year.  The Troop was organized by members of the Our Lady of Grace Men's Club.

Since it's inception, one hundred and six young men have attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the Boy Scout's highest rank.

Currently, the Troop has twenty one active Scouts, organized into three patrols of the following ranks:
